  1. 5g Grams Bentonite Clay - A naturally occurring, highly absorbent clay which is composed of minerals including iron, silica and aluminium, it is usually formed from volcanic ash which has been aged by time.

  2. 1g Spirulina - A blue-green algae that is 60% all-vegetable protein, rich in beta carotene, iron, vitamin B-12 and the rare essential fatty acid, GLA to nourish the skin with an abundance of vitamins and minerals.

  3. 20-30ml Warm Water - hailed for its cleansing, protecting and moisturising properties.

  4. 5ml Apple Cider Vinegar (Optional)

  5. 5ml The Grey Collection - Green Seasoning Hair & Body Oil. I tend to use my own oil blend for my cosmetic products (see homemade Hair/Body Oil Blog) however Almond Oil, Coconut or Jojoba Oil also work just as well.

  6. 1x Wooden mixing stick and spatula

Instructions

1) Add between 10-20ml of the water to the Bentonite Clay 10ml at a time, to get a very thick paste

2) Add the 5ml of Apple Cider Vinegar to the Bentonite and Water and mix until you get a smooth thick paste.

3) Add the 5ml of Green Seasoning Oil and mix thoroughly until you get a smooth paste.

I usually use approx. 20-25ml of water as I like my masks reasonably thick. However I initially add between 10-15ml of water, to ensure I don’t add too much water and achieve the right consistency.

4) If you find your mask too thick add the remaining water a little at a time until your mask is the desired consistency.

5) Apply the Mask all over your face and neck ensuring to apply evenly and not too thick.

6) Allow the mask to fully dry, I usually leave the mask until all the moisture has dried out. Once the mask has fully cracked, turned dark green in colour and has started to crumble the mask is ready to be removed.

The drier the clay mask, the easier it is to remove........

7) Gently wipe away the dried mask with a dry cotton wool pad or tissue paper.

8) Once most of the mask has been fully wiped away, rinse your face with warm/hot water to remove the remainder of the mask.

9) Use a warm damp cotton wool pad to wipe your face fully clean.

Or

Indulge a little further and Steam your face with one of Our Botanical or Herbal Face Steams.

10) Splash your face with cold water to close the pores, dry and moisturise with Broccoli Green Seasoning Hair and Body Oil or a face moisturiser of your choice.

Exciting – We’re all done super easy and quick providing you with a special treat using all-natural products to elevate your facial cleansing experience from basic to luxury.
