As a long-time advocate of natural hair, and with so many people enquiring how I maintain my hair. I decided to use my 25 years’ experience of managing and maintaining long natural afro hair, to develop and create a Natural Hair care line, which entwines the various Caribbean and African inspired ingredients I have come to depend on, as part of my ongoing hair routine.

Development of the business concept led to discussions with regards to scents and themes and with this, came the idea to focus on Caribbean and African scents and ingredients that invoked memories of growing up in a Caribbean or African family. This idea naturally evolved and generated questions with regards to creating fragrances and scents that also invoked those same memories and the idea to create scented candles and diffusers began.

This set about months of researching scents, ingredients, essential oils and their properties and the fun part making products such as candles and diffusers whilst perfecting my hair and beauty recipes.

With this I created THE GREY COLLECTION Ltd.

During the process of creating our diffusers I came across Sola Wood Flowers as a beautiful way to dispense our unique fragrances.

Further research lead, me to an amazing website in America and with that I began using Sola flowers for my diffusers and to create unique floral centrepieces for friends and family. With over a year of ordering supplies from the US due to a lack of UK suppliers I decided to expand and create
